Dr Casey de Rooy graduated from her medical degree at The University of Melbourne in 2015. She then worked at the Austin and St Vincent’s hospitals in a wide range of specialities including addiction medicine, dermatology, emergency, and geriatric medicine. Following this Casey spent several years working in mental health, with a special interest in child and adolescent mental health, before realising she wanted to treat the whole person and commenced her training in general practice. She is experienced in managing mental health problems with therapy-based approaches and medication, and believes in collaborative decision making. 

Casey is passionate about providing safe and inclusive care to people of all backgrounds. She has an open-minded and non-judgemental approach. 

Casey believes in lifelong learning and has completed additional studies in paediatrics, psychiatry and public health. 

Casey has three young children and works part time. She is passionate about permaculture and slow living, and spends most of her spare time in the garden.
