Skin Check 360 is a state of the art, 3D scan that creates an avatar of you and every spot and lesion on your body in only one second. 

At Yarra Trail Medical, we use an advanced 3D imaging technology that captures the entire surface of exposed skin in just seconds. This system uses 92 high definition cameras to create a comprehensive 3D avatar of your body, accurately mapping all visible spots and skin lesions. By establishing this detailed baseline, your doctor can monitor even the slightest changes over time, facilitating the early detection of skin cancers such as melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and basal cell carcinoma.

Our skin cancer screening process is thorough and efficient. The Skin Check 360 system captures precise images quickly, and when combined with dermoscopy, it enhances your doctors ability to detect and monitor skin lesions effectively. Regular screenings are vital for early detection and prompt treatment, especially for individuals at high risk of skin cancer. 

Our team will provide you with a lovely and comfortable experience to get your photos taken, and with a number of packages available, we can meet your personal skin check needs. We provide patients with digital copies of their images, enabling self-monitoring between appointments and facilitating communication with general practitioners or dermatologists.

If you are choosing the silver package, your regular GP or specialist will receive a copy of the report and images after your scan. We do require a referral letter from them to book your appointment. 

To make it easier, pre-fill this form and give it to your doctor to sign.

How to Prepare

  • Ensure your skin is clean and free from oil or makeup

  • Remove any jewellery or be prepared to remove it

  • Wear underwear you're happy to have photos taken in

  • If you have dark or thick body hair, shave or clip it where possible

  • Avoid any fake tan or shimmer body lotion

Skin Check 360

  • Accessibility
    We have dedicated accessible parking, a wheelchair ramp at the front and accessible bathrooms. If you have any specific requests, please feel free to call or email our team and we can provide you with the information and adjustments you may need including the National Relay Service.
  • Appointments
    Our standard appointment times are for 20 minutes. Double appointments are available and attract a larger gap. Please book online or call us on 03 8408 6111 to make an appointment SMS message reminders for appointment times are sent the day before your appointment. Please specify which doctor you would like to see and the length of consultation that you require at the time of booking.
  • Careers

  • Cancellations and Missed Appointments
    We know that things happen, but please do let us know as soon as possible if you cannot make an appointment. A cancellation fee of the full cost of the appointment will apply to missed appointments without notice provided and must be paid prior to your next appointment.

  • Fees
    Please see our up to date fees page here. Medicare requires the full payment amount, plus the gap payment to be made before a rebate can be processed. Medicare sets an amount per attendance based on services provided, and we charge a gap. There are over 5000 Medicare items in Australia making it difficult to estimate your fees. For a standard ​20 minute adult appointment, the full fee must be paid on the day with credit card or debit card, with a Medicare rebate processed into your account by Medicare.
  • Home Visits
    Home visits may be available for you depending on your conditions. Please discuss this with your GP.
  • How to Get Here, Public Transport and Parking"
    Our Briar Hill clinic is next to the Briar Hill shops and have a carpark available for patients. The carpark is accessible from the laneway between our building and the Briar Hill shops, and can be entered from both Mountain View Road and Sherbourne Road. The 513 bus stop is directly out the front of our building. We are 900m (12 minute walk) from the 517 and 518 bus stop We are 800m (10 minute walk) from the 902 bus stop We are a 1.3km (17 minute walk) from Montmorency Station The Montmorency clinic is near Bolton Street and is across the road from Stix and Stones. The 901, 513 and 293 bus stops a brief walk from our building We are 2.4km (36 minute walk) from Montmorency Station We are 3.4km (48 minute walk) from Eltham Station
  • Medical Certificates
    We are happy to provide medical certificates when appropriate. If you forgot to get a medical certificate, please contact our reception team at reception@yarratrailmedical.com.au
  • Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Results
    To ensure follow up of your results, please make sure you book an appointment to talk through these after any investigations have been arranged. Our team will only contact you with urgent results.
  • Scripts
    We do not provide scripts to patients without an appointment. Please contact our reception team to make an appointment for a check up and your script.
  • SMS Reminders
    If you opted in when you signed up, we will send you SMS reminders about your appointments, your health and your results
  • Telehealth
    If you have seen one of our GPs face to face in the last 12 months, we will gladly provide your consultation by telehealth, however we do require pre-payment for these consultations.
  • Transfer of Medical Records
    Do you need your medical records sent to or from another clinic? We need to authorise this with your consent. Please note that some medical clinics will charge to send your file to us. Please contact us at reception@yarratrailmedical.com.au for more information.
